Scientology Network’s VOICES FOR HUMANITY, the weekly series presenting heroic change makers from a variety of faiths, cultures and nations, working to uplift their communities, announces a new episode featuring human rights activist Ladislas Nkundabanyanga, premiering on August 6, 2025.
VOICES FOR HUMANITY airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Scientology Network.
The tensions between the Hutu and Tutsi ethnic groups that led to Rwanda’s genocide in 1994 still linger today. Ethnic discrimination remains ingrained in the country’s youth, threatening prospects for a stable future. Ladislas Nkundabanyanga is working to change that by promoting respect and reconciliation through human rights education.
Ladislas Nkundabanyanga was born in Zaire (now the Democratic Republic of the Congo) and moved to Rwanda at the age of six, where he witnessed discrimination against Tutsi students at school. After losing close friends in the genocide, he dedicated himself to serving his community. Earning a degree in education, he became a secondary school teacher and, together with colleagues, founded the Rwanda Youth Clubs for Peace Organization to promote understanding and acceptance among students. Using Youth for Human Rights materials, he began fostering respect in schools and communities. He has helped educate over 50,000 Rwandans on their rights and established 20 human rights clubs throughout the country. His work is helping heal divisions left by the genocide and empowering a new generation to stand up for the rights of all.
Ladislas Nkundabanyanga is the founder and executive director of Rwanda Youth Clubs for Peace Organization.
